Webinar Description:

Family assessment is required in IDEA Part C but is important throughout childhood and youth. A unique way to determine family needs is a Routines-Based Intervention, especially if it involves asking about time for yourself, what you worry about, and what you'd like to change in your life. This intervention leads to outcomes/goals meaningful to families and functional for children.

This is a webinar sponsored by AUCD's Early Childhood Special Interest Group.

Presenter:

Robin McWilliam and his colleagues have developed the Routines-Based Model of Early Intervention Birth to Five. This model is implemented in 10 countries at one level or another. McWilliam is in constant demand as a speaker and teacher. He is a professor of early childhood special education at The University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) and has held previous appointments at Vanderbilt School of Medicine and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His mentors are Don Bailey, Mary Beth Bruder, Carl Dunst, and Mark Wolery. He has published almost 100 peer-reviewed articles and 11 books. He is a proud father and grandfather, a gourmet cook, and a terrible poet.
