The AUCD Community Education and Dissemination Council (CEDC) invites you to join us on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. ET for a webinar called The Social Media Life Cycle: The Why, What, and How of a Post.

This webinar will discuss

  • how to intentionally use social media to boost outreach to policy members, stakeholders, advocates, and people with disabilities,
  • how to encourage engagement with social media posts, ensuring that accessible post design is top of mind,
  • and how to track and use social media analytics to make communication decisions to your social media platforms.


Who should attend

  • If you manage social media platforms for your Center or organization, this webinar is for you! The content is also highly relevant for individuals who work in public health communications.

Presenters

Headshot Mark CrenshawMark Crenshaw is the Director of Interdisciplinary Training at the Center for Leadership in Disability at Georgia State University. Since 2011, he has been responsible for the implementation and coordination of Georgia LEND. Georgia LEND has included content related to social media as a tool for social good for many years because Mark believes the toolbox of a leader must include tools to promote social change in the digital world. Mark has been a leading proponent in the AUCD Network for the idea that centers need ways to measure and report on their social media impact .Mark also serves as a core faculty member for the AUCD Leadership Academy, which has been facilitated by Georgia State University since 2017.

 

Aryana JonesAryana Jones serves as the Communications Assistant at the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD). She works to create communication materials for newsletters and social media and currently manages all social media platforms. She also works with Advocacy Specialist, Liz Weintraub, to produce and edit the YouTube web series Tuesday with Liz. Aryana also works on a multitude of projects within AUCD to help with the design, execution and dissemination. Aryana graduated Towson University with degrees in Political Science and Mass Communications.

 

Patti RamosPatti Ramos is a Research Assistant and Dissemination Coordinator at the Michigan Developmental Disabilities Institute at Wayne State University, focusing on health promotion communication through social media, websites, e-newsletters, infographics, and podcasts. Patti's primary interests lie within communicating and tailoring health promotion messages to all through research translation and data visualization. She is also a Registered Dietitian by trade, and a Lecturer at the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
