Location: Online

This annual meeting was an opportunity for all 150+ Division of Maternal and Child Health Workforce Development (DMCHWD) grantees to come together around topics of mutual relevance and increase their knowledge of innovative training methods. The meeting was hosted by AUCD's Interdisciplinary Technical Assistance Center on Autism and Developmental Disabilities (ITAC).

Purpose

During this working meeting, participants learned to recognize personal and peer preferences/attitudes related to change and be able to apply a change framework to the organizational decision making process. Stakeholders from each program explored the "Why?" of their collective vision related to diversity, inclusion, and cultural competence, then began to develop a roadmap for change for this critical focus area.

Location

The meeting took place virtually using Adobe Connect, a web-based meeting platform. Program personnel (faculty, staff, trainees, community partners, etc.) participated live as a team from their home site.  For purposes of this meeting, universities or hospitals with multiple grantee programs could choose to together.  Multi-site programs could opt to gather in a common location, use their existing distance technology infrastructure to join each other virtually, or have a group from each site participate separately (ideally, site teams debriefed together later on).

Materials

All required / recommended pre-meeting materials are captured in one document and posted on this page.  You can also access Dr. Rosenberg's presentation slides, summaries of information shared by participants during the meeting, and additional resources related to diversity, cultural and linguistic competency, change management, and strategic planning.

A video recording of the entire meeting will be posted as soon as it's available.
