In order to reduce the budget deficit, some federal policymakers are proposing significant cuts and structural changes to Medicaid in the form of block grants or federal spending caps.  Medicaid is a lifeline for millions of individuals with disabilities and seniors.  Such proposals would have far-reaching implications for access to health care and long-term services and supports.  Proposals, such as the recently passed House FY2012 Budget Resolution, would significantly shift costs to states and undermine consumer protections -resulting in loss of coverage, higher out-of-pocket costs, and reduced access of home and community-based services.  This webinar brings together leading economists and experts to discuss the severe implications for states, seniors, and people with disabilities.
