Location: Online

This two-part webinar will introduce attendees to the basic concepts of health marketing and communication. Health marketing and communication is an emerging field draws from traditional marketing theories and principles and applies them to health. Health marketing is defined as "creating communication and delivering health information and interventions using customer-centered and science based strategies to protect and promote the health of diverse populations."1 Health communication planning uses research to develop strategies for how to implement and evaluate your intervention. But how can you plan when your time and resources are often very limited? This webinar series is intended to increase participants' knowledge about the basic principles of health communication and marketing and provide an introduction to the health communication planning, implementation, and evaluation process.

After an introduction to the concepts of health marketing, session one will overview the planning and strategy development for a health communication campaign. Highlights will include how to develop and pretest concepts, messages, and materials.
