Vita/Bio
Jamie Hayhurst Marshall is a Program Manager at the Center for Excellence in Disabilities at WVU. She manages the assistive technology projects at the Center including the state assistive technology project (WVATS), Green Thumbs, Healthy Joints and the WV Early Childhood Resource Lending Library. She has also managed the WV AgrAbility partnership and higher education projects at the Center.
Jamie has over 10 years’ experience providing device demonstrations and information and assistance services statewide and nationally regarding assistive technology devices and services. She has developed and implemented trainings for various state agencies and institutions of higher education. She is a certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) from RESNA and led the state Assistive Technology Clinic. She has provided numerous evaluations for all ages and differing needs throughout the state. Jamie is also a certified Information and Referral Specialist (CIRS) from the Alliance for Information and Referral Services (AIRS). She is an officer of the Partnerships in Assistive Technologies (PATHS, Inc.) state assistive technology nonprofit.
Jamie holds multiple degrees in communication studies, speech communication and sign language interpretation. She has taught communication courses in higher education for 12 years. She is the proud mother of Kennedy and Courtland, her young children.
