Vita/Bio
I am a Professor of Nutrition at UIUC. My research focuses on pediatric nutrition and I teach courses in pediatric clinical nutrition, nutrition and the gut microbiome and grantwriting. Our group has published over 175 manuscripts and book chapters and our research is currently funded by the NIH, USDA, foundations and the food and pharmaceutical industry. I currently serve on the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academies of Sciences and the Food Advisory Committee of the FDA Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition.
