Zaccheus J. Ahonle, Ph.D., is a Project Manager/Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Texas Center for Disability Studies (TCDS) through the School of Social Work, at the University of Texas at Austin (UT). He holds Two Masters degrees in (Information Science and Special Education) and a Ph.D. degree in Special Education from the University of Texas at Austin. He teaches Disability Studies classes through the Texas Center for Disability Studies (TCDS) and coordinates the Disability Studies Graduate Portfolio Program. Dr. Ahonle is also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and a vocational rehabilitation expert with remarkable counseling experience working with people with disabilities including veterans and active service members. Dr. Ahonle is a current Board Member of Texas Rehabilitation Counselors and Educators Association (TRCEA) and affiliated to several other professional associations. His primary areas of research interest include community re-integration (i.e. competitive employment and post-school outcomes) for individuals with disabilities, including veterans with PTSD and TBI; and post-school outcomes for transition-aged youths with disabilities, including youths with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Dr. Ahonle's recent employment outcome research involved the examination of the effects of race/ethnicity, comorbid disabilities, and vocational rehabilitation services on employment outcomes of individuals with traumatic brain injury.
