PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE University of Southern Mississippi (Institute for Disability Studies) ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT FOR FISCAL MANAGEMENT, October 2001 - Present Provide fiscal support to the Director and Associate Director in managing, tracking, and reporting financial data of several grant projects. Prepare various financial reports to University offices, federal and state agencies and private foundations. Forecast budget costs that include staff hours, travel estimates and project expenditures. Review and process contracts, contract invoices, consultant reimbursements, travel claims and accounts payable vouchers. Routinely reconcile grant balances and expenditures. Prepare financial data for proposals. Act as liaison between the Institute for Disability Studies and various University offices. Provide general administrative management in the day to day operation of the department as well as areas in payroll, personnel, procurement and inventory control.
