Gina lives in Chicago and is the mother of two sons, with Classic PMD (Pelizaeus Merzbacher Disease). She is married to Gordon Jones, a Chicago firefighter. Mrs. Jones studied at Tennessee State University and is a registered nurse with a BSN from Chicago State University. She is currently the Family Member Trainee IL LEND Coordinator for the LEND program (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Diseases) at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Gina is the founder and Chair of the Jones PMD Walk 'n Roll (formally the Jones Family Walk 'n Roll for PMD), an annual fundraiser started in 2008. As a Board Trustee, Gina is involved in fundraising and family support for the PMD Foundation. Mrs. Jones  is also a very active volunteer in her children's public schools.
