Virginia Stack is currently the Project Director for the Positive Educational Partnership (PEP), a cooperative agreement between the State of Rhode Island and SAMHSA which began in October '05.  Prior to this, she directed the children's programs at a local mental health center for approximately ten years.  These programs spanned the continuum from prevention/education through intensive treatment.  She developed the second community based partial hospitalization program in the State of Rhode Island.  Ginny has worked as a mental health consultant, and student assistance counselor in area elementary and middle schools.  She taught child development courses at the college level for nine years in Connecticut and was the director of the campus child development center.  During this time, she also trained and supported staff in area day care centers toward their CDA certification, and consulted with centers applying for licensure with the State of Connecticut.  Ginny has served on a number of community boards concerning children's behavioral and developmental issues. Ginny holds a Master of Science degree from George Peabody College for Teachers of Vanderbilt University.
