Debra Schell-Frank, EdD, a Senior Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics, has a doctorate in Special Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Special Education. She has worked with individuals of all ages with disabilities for over 30 years. A returning faculty member, Dr. Schell-Frank was originally on the University of Colorado at Denver campus in the School of Education. She has done extensive research in the area of education issues facing children adopted from institutions and developed training and technical assistance for staff members working with post-institutionalized children in Eastern Europe. She is currently a consultant with the Colorado Department of Education on several early intervention projects, the Colorado Department of Human Services/Early Childhood Connections, and the Professional Development Coordinator for Results Matter.
