Kristen Kaiser, MA is an Instructor and Parent Liaison with JFK Partners. As a LEND Faculty member, Kristen participates in training multidisciplinary post-doctoral students in disability and the family experience. With the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Research Group, She is the Parent Liaison for two Teleheath studies, which are exploring the feasibility of providing treatment to families and consultation to schools in rural communities using videoconferencing technology. Kristen is currently Co-Investigator and Parent Liaison for the Colorado Parent Mentoring study, responsible for development of mentoring and parent education program and day-to-day coordination of the project. She is the Co-Chair of the Education Subcommittee for CO-CANDO, and is also a member of the Colorado Department of Education Autism Task Force. Kristen founded and facilitates the support group Moms on the Spectrum, with over 150 members in the Denver Metro area. The group provides emotional support, connections to community resources and guest speakers from the research and provider communities for mothers of a child with an autism spectrum disorder.
