Vita/Bio
Alex is a licensed certified genetic counselor at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. She obtained her Masters in Human Genetics and Genetic Counseling for Emory University School of Medicine in 2014. From 2014-2017 she was a full time clinical genetic counselor at OU, seeing patients in a variety of specialty clinics including pediatric genetics, cancer, bleeding disorders, ophthalmology, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. In December 2017 she accepted the position as Assistant Director of the Masters of Science in Genetic Counseling program at OU. She currently works as a clinical assistant professor in the department of pediatrics, teaching and supervising genetic counseling students.
