Dori Ortman is the Clinic Coordinator for the UCLID Center of the University of Pittsburgh, a LEND Program and AUCD member. The mission of UCLID is to educate a new generation of leaders in the field of disabilities and to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families. Dori is also the Program Coordinator for UCP Kids, a division of CLASS. UCP Kids offers programs to help children with disabilities have full participation in recreational, educational, and social opportunities in their communities.

Dori's career in program management began over 15 years ago. When her second child was born with Down syndrome, she focused on working and training specifically in the field of disability. She is the co-author of Together is Better and Opening the Doors to Community: The Keys to Success. She is also the author of several articles on topics related to inclusion, including her recent contribution to "Social Capital: A View from the Field," a special edition of the Journal for Vocational Rehabilitation. She regularly speaks at seminars and conferences, providing both a professional and parental perspective on disability, and often serves as a consultant to school districts and families.
