CLOSING DATE: Letter of Intent: February 13, 2006 Application: March 13, 2006 AMOUNT: $1,300,000 Up to five awards of up to $325,000 in year 1 and $500,000 in each of years 2 - 5 ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS: Nonprofit organizations; public or private institutions; eligible agencies of the federal government; and domestic institutions. AGENCY/DEPARTMENT: National Institutes of Health (NIH) SUMMARY: This funding opportunity will enable the development of novel, interdisciplinary training programs that integrate comprehensive training in basic neuroscience, the physical and biological bases of neuroimaging, the technologies and analytic methods of in vivo neuroimaging, and the application of these technologies to understanding questions in neuroscience across the life span. Each training program must have two components: a] a pre-doctoral institutional training program and b] a short-term research education program for scientists at all stages of the career continuum who are interested in neuroimaging.
