International Adrenal Cortex Conference - Adrenal 2008
Date: 6/11/2008 - 6/14/2008 Location: San Francisco, California Sponsor(s):
Purpose: The adrenal cortex is a gland that produces the steroid hormones, cortisol and aldosterone, that are essential for life. Genetic diseases of the adrenal cortex and adrenal tumors dramatically affect the health of children and adults, impacting on salt and fluid balance, blood pressure, responses to stress, mood and behavior, and broad range of metabolic activities. This conference provides the only forum for scientists and clinicians with interests specifically in the adrenal cortex to engage in in-depth and focused discussions of current findings and their impact on health.
