NIH Workshop on Translational Research in Muscular Dystrophy

Description: The goals of the workshop are to critically evaluate ongoing efforts to develop drug- and biologic-based therapies for muscular dystrophy and to establish a roadmap for best practices in therapeutic strategy and target selection, preclinical efficacy measures, and organization of collaborative teams to best achieve novel therapies in this set of rare diseases. NIH and member organizations of the MDCC may use outcomes to design or re-design therapy development initiatives. Participating PIs may use the venue to establish new collaborations or redirect their own therapy development efforts based upon expert advice from the Workshop.
