What disability accommodations are available?
The 2021 Virtual Conference will be on a platform that is screen-reader accessible. All live meetings and pre-recorded videos will have CART live captioning. All plenaries and the awards ceremony will have ASL interpretation and CART live captioning. If you are in need of other specific accessibility accommodations for the virtual conference, please note this on your registration form or contact Shirley Carrillo at [email protected] via email within 30 days of the event.

What is included in the cost of my registration?
There is one registration fee for all of the content provided during the virtual conference from November 15-17. The content is also accessible on the virtual platform by registered attendees for two months after the conference.

Are there different registration fees?
There is a general fee of $375 and a student/advocate/family member fee of $225.

Can I pay to attend only one day of the conference?
No, here is only a flat registration fee this year for all three days. This includes the Council meetings taking place on November 17th. 

What are the registration deadlines?
The deadline to register for the Virtual Conference is October 22. There is no registration available after this time.

How can I obtain an invoice/receipt for a registration or group of registrations?
Invoices/receipts are emailed upon registration. For an additional copy, please email Caitlyn Conklin at [email protected].

Can I substitute/transfer someone else to attend the conference?
You can substitute someone else by emailing Michele Lunsford at [email protected] with the new registrant's name and email address no later than November 8. Transfer requests cannot be requested after this date.

What is the conference registration cancellation policy?
The deadline to cancel registration for a refund is November 8. There will be no refunds issued after this time, no exceptions. A refund will be issued minus a $50 processing fee. Refunds must be requested in writing to Caitlyn Conklin at [email protected].

Where can I get more information about the virtual platform?
After you register for the conference, additional information will be sent about the virtual platform. A soft launch of the conference on the virtual platform is scheduled to take place on November 12. There will also be recorded webinars and other resources for registered attendees to access about how the virtual platform will work.

Will AUCD offer the opportunities to earn CEU's for the virtual conference?
Unfortunately, AUCD is not able to offer CEU's for the virtual conference.

Is there a conference app?
There is no conference app this year for the virtual conference.
