Important Update - Hotel Name Change

The Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown is now the Westin Washington, DC Downtown. The name change took place on October 4, 2023. 

The AUCD 2023 Conference will be held at the Westin Washington, DC Downtown at 999 9th Street NW, Washington, DC 20001 (Google maps here).

Please note: the Conference will not be held at the Westin City Center location.


 

 
 

The Westin Washington, DC Downtown Hotel (previously Renaissance) is the official host hotel of the AUCD Conference.

The Westin Washington, DC Downtown Hotel (previously the Renaissance Hotel) is located in the heart of the nation's capital, situated between the White House and Capitol Hill in the Penn Quarter District. The hotel is just a quick walk away from the Verizon Center, the Spy Museum, Chinatown, the National Portrait Gallery, and the world-famous National Mall monuments. Courtyard Washington Downtown/Convention Center

The room block at the Courtyard is now closed. AUCD 2023 room rate: $239/night for single occupancy. The $239 rate is only available as space permits.

 

Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC Convention Center

The room block at the Embassy Suites is now closed. AUCD 2023 room rate: $266/night for single occupancy. The $266 rate is only available as space permits. 

 


 

 
 

Westin (Previously Renaissance) Information & Reservations

Both Self-park and Valet parking are available at the Westin Hotel.
Self-parking: $35.00/day
Valet Parking: $40.00/day

Disability Accommodations

The Westin DC has 24 ADA rooms, 10 of which have roll-in showers. All of the hotels' roll-in shower rooms are in AUCD's room block.

About the Penn Quarter District

The Penn Quarter District is a restored historic neighborhood. Because it is so close to the Verizon center, the area has become a hub for arts and entertainment. There are plenty art galleries and theatres around if you are interested in cultural experiences. The neighborhood also features many different restaurants, nightclubs and trendy stores.

Public transportation and parking

  • Street parking is very limited in this area. Public Transportation is advised.
