Although Medicaid coverage routinely extends to augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, that coverage rarely includes non-dedicated tablets/iPads. This presentation details a national investigation of state Medicaid policies relative to coverage of mainstream technology as a platform for AAC devices.
