Description

This study examines the relationship between social anxiety and frequency of social engagement among young adults with ASD. Results show a significant correlation between the Social Avoidance and Distress General subscale of the Social Anxiety Scale and the total number of get-togethers on the Quality of Socialization Questionnaire, suggesting that social anxiety among young adults with ASD may interfere with their ability to socially engage with peers.
