Description
In order to receive a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), an individual must display communication deficits. These communication deficits are lifelong and can make sexual development, for adolescents with ASD, a challenging time. Through mixed-methodology, our study demonstrates the relationship between communication and sexual development. Furthermore, our findings provide greater insight for navigating the sexual development experience, and receipt of appropriate services and interventions.Back to Session: Poster Symposium 2: Diagnostic & Clinical
