Description
Methylphenidate immediate release (MPH IR) is the only stimulant medication with moderate evidence showing efficacy and safety in preschool-aged children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). However, the only FDA approved medication for children 3 and older is dextroamphetamine (DEX). Alpha agonists are frequently used but not yet recommended as monotherapy. This study aimed to assess prescription medication trends for preschool age children with ADHD and disruptive behavior.Back to Session: Poster Symposium: Behavior Supports & Mental Health
