Description
Physicians and advanced practice nurses were recruited to take part in live videoconferences once a month for case-based discussions and education in caring for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Outcome measures included surveys regarding knowledge and comfort levels in treating patients with IDD. We learned key lessons in seeking to recruit providers, in engaging them once enrolled, and in collecting data on patients' emergency department usage and hospitalizations.Back to Session: Poster Symposium: Diagnostic & Clinical Services
