^,Description
Students with disabilities (SWD) must self-identify and self-advocate, per the ADA and Section 504, to access accommodations and services within postsecondary education settings. Twelve SWD participated in three focus groups to explore their experiences of self-identifying and self-advocating; and potential supports that may be indicated. Three interplaying themes were identified; and SWD described six perspectives they take when seeking services.Back to Session: Poster Symposium: Advocacy & Self-determination
