Description
It is well established that children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) often have selective eating behaviors which may lead to nutritional deficit, poor cognitive development, learning and behavioral difficulty. This presentation will describe a snack time training intervention implemented with 15 preschoolers with ASD and their caregivers. This intervention incorporated a play-based, child-centered snack time to improve eating behaviors and social engagement for children with ASD utilizing a pre/post design.Back to Session: Poster Session: Early Childhood Strategies
