Description

This session details the collaboration among a UCEDD, organization serving individuals with mental illness, and a statewide coalition focusing on domestic violence as we sought to improve services for those who are experiencing intimate partner violence. The three-year collaboration explored the intersection of domestic violence, disability and mental illness and tackled issues of respect, accessibility, empowerment and cultural competency, as well as differing perspectives on key definitions and practices.
