Building our Future through Inclusive Education for Students with Disabilities

Sunday, December 4, 2016 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Location: Grand Ballroom Central Salon

Session Description

We are excited to again offer a series of free Driving Change Sessions on Sunday morning of the conference. This year we will talk about how to "Build Our Future Together" across the lifespan.

Participate in one of these five sessions and be a part of an interactive learning and sharing environment where you will hear from and share ideas with leaders from around the network on successes and best practices in these five key areas - Early Childhood, K-12, Transition, Community Living and Aging. These sessions are free for all registered conference attendees. See the below description of this session and its presenters.

Topics to be discussed include Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and its accountability measures for students with disabilities, and the principles and practice of universal design for learning (UDL). Come learn what is happening in states and communities around the country, share what you and your program excel at, and discover national trends and opportunities.
