AUCD - SIG Meeting: Aging

Session Description
The agenda for the Aging SIG meeting will focus on initiatives to bridge the aging and developmentally disabled networks. It will report on an initiative funded by ADD through AUCD titled "Bridging the Aging and Developmental Disabilities Service Networks: Challenges and Best Practices".
The following is the agenda:
- Summary of research findings focused on Aging and Disability Resource Centers, the Lifespan Respite Care Act, and the National Alzheimer's Project Act
- UCEDD involvement in aging/DD bridging activities
- Feedback on meeting chaired by Sharon Lewis that included key leaders in aging, CMS, the National Association of Developmental Disabilities Directors and AUCD on practical ways to further collaborations through existing national initiatives.
- Discussion among Aging SIG members regarding recommendations and next steps in bridging networks
