Developing Leadership Competencies for Early Childhood Workforce Development

Saturday, November 16, 2019 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Location: Penn Quarter

Session Description

Image of a child and physical therapist

The purpose of this event is to bring together current and emerging leaders in early childhood from across the AUCD network, discuss pertinent issues to the field, explore resources and technical assistance opportunities available through the Early Childhood Personnel Center and brainstorm possible action steps at the state/territory and national levels. One specific question we'll be considering at this year's summit:

How can we take what has worked for children with autism and extend it to all children that are eligible for Early Intervention (EI) services, even in today's context of autism-specific policies, funding streams and initiatives that have often resulted in inequity with respect to access?

Who should Pariticpate:

LEND, UCEDD, and IDDRC faculty/staff and trainees that work closely with Early Intervention (EI) as part of their professional role or have an interest in early childhood issues.

Some scholarship funding is available through the University of Connecticut to support attendance.  Click here to submit information to request funding for your travel no later than Tuesday, October 1st.  Please contact Darla Gundler at [email protected] for more details.
