The AUCD Meritorious Service Award is presented in recognition of professional and personal efforts that proactively support AUCD in achieving its mission.

In Appreciation of Your Outstanding Service and Support of the AUCD Network and its Mission

"Roz's over 40 years of dedicated work at the University of  Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children's Hospitol Medical Center LEND/UCEDD programs and countless years in a leadership role at AUCD having served in numerous capacities to support the growth and development of the AUCD network and its mission. Her work in interdisciplinary pre-service training has changed the lives of countless professionals, family members and individuals with disabilities. Her work has impacted local, regional, and national stakeholders in the practice of policy development in the field of developmental disabilities. Roz has also made outstanding contributions to many aspects of the LEND and UCEDD programs at the University of Cincinnati, and through her work has touched the careers of hundreds."

Roz passed away in Cincinnati in the days immediately preceeding the awards ceremony. Karen Edwards, MD, MPH, Cincinnati LEND and UCEDD Director, and David Helm, PhD, Training Director at the Insititute for Community Inclusion in Boston, spoke in memory of Roz at the AUCD Awards Ceremony.  Roz did know she was to receive the award before her death, and the award was presented to her in a ceremony with staff in Cincinnati before her passing.
