Project Summary:
Bring key leaders together to develop and implement a sustainable targeted outreach plan for the recruitment of racially and ethnically diverse family members who have children with developmental disabilities.
Objectives Accomplished:
- Obtained letters of support from minority health officials in New Hampshire and Maine, as well as the University of New Hampshire's Office of Equity and Diversity
- Convened several meetings with university and state government leaders; brought one onto the LEND Advisory Committee
- Developed an insert for the New Hampshire LEND brochure that highlights an ethnically diverse graduate and tells her story, as well as a short recruitment video; added two alumni profile videos to the website
- Recruited one ethnically diverse family member for the 2015-2016 Trainee cohort
