In Recognition of Your Outstanding Research Accomplishments

"Samantha, who recently completed her third year in Vanderbilt's Peabody Special Education Department's Doctoral Program in Severe Disabilities, is quickly becoming a leader in research, training, and service, all related to family-school partnerships for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Upon completing her master's work, Samantha received Vanderbilt's Distinguished Teacher of Excellence in Special Education Award, a designation given each year to the one master's student who shows, to the highest degree, a strong work ethic, commitment to teaching, and who exceeds all expectations for a novice teacher. On her return to Vanderbilt as a doctoral student, Samantha has either helped or led several different research projects, several of which were highlighted in consideration for this award."
