Crystal K. Pariseau, MSSW

Crystal is responsible for both the direction of AUCD's national technical assistance contract with MCHB for the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) Programs and for the production and dissemination of many of AUCD’s publications and resources.

As the MCH Technical Assistance Director, Crystal works with all of the nation’s LEND programs to provide the resources and technical assistance necessary for meeting their mission. She is responsible for the management of AUCD's new Interdisciplinary Techical Assistance Center on Autism and Developmental Disabilities (ITAC) and works closely with federal staff at MCHB. She serves as AUCD's liaison with other programs funded under MCHB's Combating Autism Act Initiative (CAAI) including the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics (DBPeds) programs, and maintains contact with the Leadership Education in Adolescent Health (LEAH), Pediatric Pulmonary Center (PPC), and School of Public Health (SPH) interdisciplinary leadership training programs. Crystal is the editor of the national LENDLinks newsletter and other LEND publications.  She supervises the AUCD Virtual Trainee and works with Councils and Association membership to increase trainee involvement in the network.

As the Materials Development Coordinator, Crystal oversees the design and publication of resources, information, and products disseminated by the Association, both in hard copy and electronic media. She manages both the AUCD website and IDDRC Portal, and has designed and implemented a series of wholly electronic grant application and review systems for AUCD. 

In previous experience, Crystal was an Administrative Social Work trainee at the Waisman Center LEND and worked for the Waisman Center UCEDD's Community Outreach and Training Offices developing and coordinating courses, activities, and community events for people with disabilities, their families, and support personnel. She has experience in conference and meeting planning, grant writing, information dissemination, project development, publication design, website management, and written and electronic communication.

Crystal holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Welfare with dual concentrations in child and family studies and social work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master's degree in Social Work with dual concentrations in heath care and developmental disabilities from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She lives with her husband, son, and dog in Charlottesville, VA.
