Collaboration between the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) and the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) will strengthen the future of the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities through investments in the leadership development and careers of students and early career professionals.

AIR-P Research Day at Autism CARES Meeting 2024: Translating Research to Community Impact

The Autism Intervention Research Network on Physical Health (AIR-P) will be hosting its 7th semi-annual Research Day on July 22, 2024, in conjunction with the 2024 Autism CARES Meeting. This virtual event is an opportunity to highlight research related to the physical health and overall well-being of autistic individuals. The 2024 theme is "Translating Research to Community Impact" and will feature poster presentations from across the nation. This virtual event is open to all.

AUCD hosted an educational webinar for trainees to learn about the structure and financing of the Medicaid program and Home and Community-Based Services. The speakers provided an overview of the Medicaid program and its structure and financing. The webinar also provided an overview of what is happening in Congress and the Administration regarding the Medicaid program.

Legacy of a Leader Video Series

Before retiring as Associate Administrator for Maternal and Child Health at the Health Resources and Services Administration on July 29, 2011, Dr. Peter van Dyck offered three gifts to the MCH Community: three videotaped presentations that we call the "Legacy of a Leader" series. In each presentation he reflects on his life and his experiences as an MCH leader.
