The University of Connecticut Health Center's UCEDD currently has an Assistant/Associate Professor/Basic Sciences-Center for Excellence in Dev. Disabilities (search #2012-784) position available. This is a full time position, 40 hours per week, non-tenure track beginning in the spring/summer of 2012. The qualified incumbent will have an emerging (Assistant) or established (Associate/Full) national reputation for interdisciplinary scholarship, teaching, and service within the field of Developmental Disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for, among other duties, the educational core function of the UCEDD, as described in the DD Act of 2004; provide interdisciplinary leadership to the UCEDD, University and State and Nation by identifying, developing and evaluating educational initiatives that benefit persons in Connecticut influenced and affected by developmental disabilities; and will be responsible for all aspects of the educational function of the UCEDD, including all pre-service University and community based in-service courses, which includes online training, and collaborative workshops with state agencies such as Education, Developmental Services and Health.
