Associate Administrator, Bureau of Health Professions (BHPr) - HRSA, Rockville, MD

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is currently conducting a search for applicants for the position of Associate Administrator, Bureau of Health Professions (BHPr). This position located in Rockville, Maryland, is in the Senior Executive Service (SES).

The annual salary ranges from $117,787 to $177,000. A Physician's Comparability Allowance up to $30,000 is also possible.

BHPr provides national leadership and direction to support the development and utilization of the health personnel needed to staff the Nation's health care system. Its programs focus on supply, requirements, development, diversity, and distribution of the Nation=s health professions personnel as an approach to addressing the problems of access, cost and quality of care.

We are looking for a program manager who possesses a background of experience and training to effectively direct an organization of 150 employees and a budget of approximately $700 million for fiscal year 2010. In addition, the candidate must have involvement in academic/community partnerships, training/workforce needs emerging from managed care developments and the use of educational strategies to meet the needs of the underserved.
