Job Summary

This position functions as an integral member of the Successful Life Project providing advanced assessment and clinical consultation for Therapeutic Follow-up Members. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, the Behavior Analyst 3 (BA3) provides advanced behavioral assessment, helps to develop person-centered positive behavior support plans, and associated training, in support of clinically complex individuals and their staff within DHS Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) programs and in the private provider community within the scope of the Successful Life Project. The position works collaboratively with mental health professionals, medical professionals, therapists, staff, families, and other stakeholders in assessment, intervention development, training, and evaluation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in behavior analysis or a behavioral health-related field (e.g., psychology, clinical social work, counseling, etc.);
  • At least one year of experience developing and implementing behavioral interventions for individuals exhibiting challenging behavior;
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or eligible for certification.

*This position requires travel to facilities in the community and to meetings throughout the state. A valid driver's license is required*

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and implementing behavioral interventions in multiple settings.
  • Experience with application of positive behavior support for people with developmental disabilities and mental illness.
  • Experience in capacity building for providers or other implementers of positive behavior support.
  • Experience in participation in or facilitation of interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Working knowledge of/skills in person-centered thinking and planning.
  • Experience in organization and management of large caseload/workload.
