Appointment Percentage: 50% - 100%

Full Time Salary Rate: minimum $70,000 annual - depending on qualifications.
Licensure/Certification: Must be licensed in the State of Wisconsin or be eligible for a WI license.
Minimum Number of years or type of relevant work experience:
1) Clinical training and/or experience with assessment and behavioral consultation with children and/or
adolescents is required.
2) Assessment skills in areas such as cognitive, adaptive, and socio-emotional/behavioral functioning are
required.
3) Pre- or post-doctoral training and/or work experience in human participant research is required.
Research experience involving testing with a range of assessment instruments preferred.
- 7 years of related professional work experience required for appointment at the senior level.
Position Description:
The Waisman Center's Clinical Translational Core (CTC) addresses the challenges facing scientists who conduct behavioral and bio-behavioral research on special populations such as individuals with autism, fragile X syndrome (FXS), and Down syndrome (DS). In addition, research programs examine issues such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and stress/trauma related disorders, as well as children at other forms of developmental risk.
The CTC psychologist will 1) provide leadership for the psychological services delivered through the CTC, and 2) provide direct clinical services for the Waisman Center Developmental Disabilities Clinic.
The psychologist is responsible for conducting, coordinating and leading behavioral assessments, diagnostic assessments, design of experiments, and psychological consultation through the CTC and will assist investigators in dealing with research problems. The psychologist will also lead and participate in interdisciplinary assessments for children and adolescents with stress-related disorders, family dysfunction, developmental disabilities (especially autism spectrum disorder), genetic disorders (e.g. FXS and DS), and challenging behavioral issues.
