Senior Manager, UCEDD Technical Assistance

AUCD is seeking a Senior Manager for UCEDD Technical Assistance to oversee program management of the UCEDD Resource Center. The Sr. Manager will also be responsible for initiating collaboration across AUCD projects. This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Technical Assistance & Network Engagement.

AUCD promotes and supports a national network of interdisciplinary centers on disabilities. Its member centers represent every US state and territory and include 67 University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD), 52 Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Programs and 15 Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Centers (IDDRC). Together, these organizations advance policy and practice through research, education, leadership, and services for and with individuals with developmental and other disabilities, their families and communities, in support of independence, productivity, and satisfying quality of life.

The AUCD office is located in downtown Silver Spring, MD, one block from the red line Silver Spring Metro station. Job Responsibilities

Technical Assistance
• Provide leadership for all technical assistance (TA) and training activities
• Serve as primary staff on specific TA activities including those addressing diversity, inclusion, and cultural and linguistic competence
• Ensure coordination and collaboration with other AUCD, funder, and national partner efforts; this includes representing AUCD and grantees in multiple venues
• Serve as AUCD TA consultant on grantee site visits
• Collaborate with other teams to identify training needs and solutions for grantees
• Provide TA and content expertise for topics of interest to grantees, funder, and AUCD

Data Collection, Evaluation, and Reporting
• Manage data collection and project evaluation activities, including reviewing and monitoring all evaluation data related to the project and engaging in continuous quality improvement
• Assist in completion of annual performance reports and continuation applications, and competitive renewal applications to funder
• Provide programmatic expertise in support of grantee performance reporting

Budgeting
• Assist in development and monitoring of annual project budget
• Facilitate development, review and approval of all sub-awardee agreements, invoices for payment, project staff expense reports & timesheets, and grant invoices & expenditures

Networking and Engagement
• Represent AUCD on advisory groups, and at meetings and conferences locally and nationally
• Carry out other activities that further the mission and goals of AUCD

Personnel
• Provide direct supervision to AUCD staff working on the project
• Receive direct supervision from the Sr. Director, Technical Assistance & Network Engagement
• Provide updates to the Board of Directors on project activities as requested
• Represent the interests of grantees in the context of broader AUCD initiatives (e.g. strategic planning, communications, leadership development)
• Act as back-up for the Sr. Director of Technical Assistance and Network Engagement on project-related topics as needed

Qualifications

Required
• Experience in providing technical assistance and consultation in topics related to disability, including program and training development
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through writing
• Demonstrated data management, progress report, and evaluation skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage numerous simultaneous activities with multiple components
• Demonstrated professionalism with culturally diverse stakeholders
• Demonstrated proficiency in using word processing, database and spreadsheet software, web tools, and social media tools to communicate and exchange information
• Demonstrated leadership, program management, and supervisory skills
• Organization, prioritization, resourcefulness, and multi-tasking
• Experience working in fast-paced office environment
• Master's degree in a relevant field

Desired
• Personal or professional experience with disabilities
• Training or work experience in a UCEDD
