Position Summary:
The UNC Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities are seeking a psychologist to provide clinical services, lead interdisciplinary clinical teams, supervise and provide clinical training to graduate students, and collaborate with university and state partners. This is a 0.8 FTE fixed term (clinical) position at the Clinical Assistant Professor level. The position will work in the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities. Anticipated start date for the position is August 1, 2016.

Educational Requirements
Applicants must have a doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in an applied area of psychology and be licensed or eligible for licensure in North Carolina.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate should have expertise in the provision of psychological services to individuals with or at-risk for intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. Applicants must have broad clinical experiences including assessment, intervention, and community-based consultation (e.g., schools, childcare and residential settings) with persons who have a wide range of neurodevelopmental disabilities. Competencies in the area of autism spectrum disorders are necessary, and must include both diagnostic services and knowledge of evidence-based intervention with children and adults. The applicant will also have experience working in an interdisciplinary healthcare setting, as well as providing education/training opportunities in the community.
Preference will be given to candidates with postdoctoral clinical experience specializing in the area of intellectual/developmental disabilities. Experience with LEND/UCEDD programs is strongly preferred. Applicants with experience in psychosocial group interventions (e.g., PEERS, Facing Your Fears), complex behavioral assessment/treatment, sleep disorders, as well as interest in establishing a related line of research in IDD, are strongly encouraged to apply.
