The overall goal of the Kentucky Partnership is to increase the quality of services and supports for all young children and their families in Kentucky. The successful candidate will oversee the over 100 staff in the planning, management and operation of the Kentucky Partnership, including development and expansion of programs and services in the area of early care and education. The director also has a working relationship with the State of Kentucky, specifically the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and Kentucky Department of Education. As director the successful candidate will provide leadership and support to a primary program housed at The Kentucky Partnership, Child Care Aware (CCA) of Kentucky. This program serves the state through the provision of coaching services to address both quality enhancement (through the Tiered Quality Rating and Improvement System) and professional development services. The Director of the Kentucky Partnership will oversee Child Care Aware Services in collaboration
with the state Division of Child Care.
This position requires a person with the demonstrated ability to develop and support programs and ensure successful progression from early to full implementation, to engage in strategic program development and problem solving in a collaborative manner with internal and external partners and stakeholders, and to overseeing the mining of data and information to inform the program design and development.
Required: Doctoral degree in Early Childhood, Social Work, Public Policy/Administration, or related field.
Required Related Experience: Demonstrated five to seven years of successful large-scale management and leadership experience, preferably in early childhood education systems. Demonstrated five to seven years of early childhood experience; large-scale planning, development and implementation of early learning programs in communities and states is desired.
