Westchester Institute for Human Development, a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities and Related Disorders located in Valhalla, New York (30 minutes north of New York City) is currently seeking applicants for its Postdoctoral Fellowship in Behavioral Psychology/Applied Behavior Analysis working with children, adolescents, and adults with a developmental disability (including autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, and Down syndrome).

This is a full time [APPIC-member] fellowship for graduates from clinical, school, or specialized behavioral psychology doctoral programs. It offers a broad variety of training experiences with extensive individual and group supervision, including:

  • Implementing behavioral interventions in the clinic, community, and through school/group home consultation
  • Conducting functional behavior assessments to guide treatment planning
  • Supervising in-home service providers and treatment planning for those clients
  • Participating in community outreach programs and conferences
  • Attending Professional Seminars
  • BCBA certification supervision hours available for training activities
  • Additional training experiences are available at WIHD and can be integrated into candidates program based on interest
