Post-Doctoral Fellowship - Department of Pediatrics, Division of Adolescent Medicine, University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB)

The UAB Division of Adolescent Medicine is accepting applications for a full-time, appointment in the area of clinical psychology with a focus on adolescent health to begin in August 2016. The intent of the fellowship is to deliver specialty training for emerging leaders in the area of adolescent health as part of the Leadership Education in Adolescent Health (LEAH) training program. Fellows will receive training in assessment, individual, group, and family therapy, depending upon specific interests. Fellows are required to work on an independent research project with faculty mentorship during the course of their appointment and attend didactic classes focused on adolescent health and taught by our multidisciplinary faculty. Stipend is $42,000 plus benefits.

REQUIREMENTS:  All applicants must have completed: 1) APA- or CPA-accredited graduate programs in clinical or counseling psychology; 2) APA- or CPA-accredited internships; and 3) all requirements for their Ph.D. or Psy.D. prior to beginning their appointment. Appointments are for one year, with possible renewal for a second year, dependent upon continued funding. Applications received before January 15, 2015 will be given priority; however, applications will be considered until the position is filled. Review of applications will begin immediately.
