Assistant Director - Nevada University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities

The Assistant Director of the Nevada University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position with excellent benefits at Nevada's only UCEDD. The Nevada UCEDD is part of a national network and is located at the University of Nevada, Reno's Research and Educational Planning Center in the College of Education.

The position consists of two broad functions. 1. To assist the director in providing essential management and organization supports; and 2. To provide direction and support for the development of new funding and projects in the Center that address federally mandated core functions. Additionally, this position will serve as a liaison representing the Center on a local, state and national level, serve on a variety of service committees and participate in planning and advisory groups. This position is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration on Developmental Disabilities and by funding from other federal, state, and private sources.

Qualifications

Required:
Masters degree from a regionally accredited institution with an emphasis or major in interdisciplinary disability profession (i.e., SPED, OT, PT, SW, SLP, Psych) or related field and two years experience in an applied setting of services, teaching, grant development or research in the disability field, managing and tracking complex projects and developing related annual/progress reports.

Preferred:
Doctorate from a regionally accredited institution with an emphasis or major in interdisciplinary disability profession (i.e., SPED, OT, PT, SW, SLP, Psych) or related field.
