Pediatric Clinical Psychologist - Center for Disabilities and Development (CDD), The University of Iowa Children's Hospital

The Center for Disabilities and Development (CDD), University of Iowa Children's Hospital, is seeking a pediatric clinical psychologist to provide psychological/neuropsychological assessment and behavioral assessment and treatment with infants, children and young adults in a tertiary-level, clinical outpatient setting. This pediatric psychologist works to diagnose and treat neurodevelopmental disabilities with other members of a multi-disciplinary, health-care team. Position requirements include a doctoral degree in Psychology; one to three years of experience in Pediatric Clinical Psychology, including skill and experience in pediatric psychological/neuropsychological assessment and working with infants and preschool-aged children through young adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities; eligibility for licensing as a Psychologist in the State of Iowa. Iowa Psychology License and Certification as a Health Service Provider are highly desirable. A demonstrated knowledge of community-based disability services; expertise in applied behavior analysis; experience working as a member of an interdisciplinary team in a health-care environment; and experience working with an electronic medical record system are desirable.

Salary is commensurate with training and experience. The CDD is Iowa's University Center for Excellence on Disabilities and is a clinical, research, and teaching component of the University of Iowa Children's Hospital, University of Iowa Healthcare. The CDD serves individuals with a range of neurodevelopmental disorders including brain injuries, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, genetic syndromes, epilepsy, and diverse chronic health impairments. Services are provided in an interdisciplinary setting that includes pediatricians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, speech pathologists, audiologists, educational consultants, occupational therapists, and physical therapists.
