The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a demonstrated leader for the position of Deputy Director to lead a dynamic team responsible for community-based services for individuals with developmental disabilities within Nebraska. Job duties :  The Division of Developmental Disabilities Community Based Services section administers three 1915(c) Medicaid Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Waivers for adults and children. The Deputy Director provides oversight and leadership to a variety of teams with responsibility for statewide service coordination, Waiver management, eligibility determination, quality improvement, survey and certification, technical assistance, contract management, and professional services. The Deputy Director will provide vision and leadership while coordinating budgets, creating policy, reviewing and drafting relevant regulations and legislative proposals and ensuring the Division is adhering to and providing quality services (both specialized and non-specialized) per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines. 

Qualifications / Requirements :  Bachelor's or Master's degree in public/business administration, social/behavioral science, program evaluation or organization/management analysis or closely related field. Candidate must have experience working with CMS HCBS Waiver programs. Preference will be given to individuals with experience working with statewide developmental disabilities services and programs. Knowledge of developmental disability service delivery models, practices, trends, issues and laws in developmental disability administration is desirable. OTHER: Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.
