Michigan Protection and Advocacy Service, Inc. (MPAS) has an immediate opening for Director of Information and Referral Team for our Lansing office. The Director of Information and Referral would provide leadership and direction to the Information & Referral Team. Responsible for providing information, referral, short-term assistance, advice and direction to eligible individuals as well as creating and maintaining an efficient entry into the MPAS array of services.

Must possess a Juris doctor degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing in the Michigan Bar, OR Master's degree in a human services related field, OR Bachelor degree and additional relevant work experience. Six to eight years of related human services experience including experience working with rights issues. Valid experience in handling supervisory and personnel responsibilities. Demonstrated commitment to the civil rights of all people and the ability to work with individuals with a variety of disability characteristics and cultural backgrounds. Ability to conduct outreach activities and trainings including public presentations, training, representation on various community boards, coalitions, work groups and development of written materials to educate others about MPAS and the rights of individuals with disabilities.

Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 depending on education and experience.
