The University of Connecticut Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) is currently seeking qualified post-doctoral candidates for positions for the Early Childhood Personnel Center (ECPC).

The Early Childhood Personnel Center (www.ecpcta.org) is a national Technical Assistance Center funded by the Office of Special Education program, at the US Department of Education. The purpose of the ECPC is to provide leadership at the national, regional and state level to State Education Agencies, Lead Part C agencies, early care and education agencies, Institutes of Higher Education, and other professional development entities responsible for the preparation, credentialing and continuing education of those providing services to infants and young children with disabilities and their families.

 Learning Opportunities for a Post-Doctoral candidate include:

  • Developing and evaluating state wide technical assistance activities to develop an integrated and comprehensive early childhood system of personnel development.
  • Participating in research teams examining early childhood personnel preparation models.
  • Grant writing and manuscript preparation.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree in early childhood, special education or related area.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in early childhood intervention.


Appointment Terms
This is a 11-month, one-year end date position which may be renewed pending funding and performance.
